One correction, Carl Gardner, original lead singer of the Coasters is still alive.

Leon Hughes is the only original coaster alive but he retired years ago.. most of the so called old doo wop groups today are fakes and have no original members. just look at the drifters.. at last call there were over 8 groups calling themselves the drifters touring the world
