The Zoom H4 is a great digital recorder, but many people lamented it's lack of 4-track recording and the inability to see the screen while self-recording. The Zoom H2 was a 4-track recorder, but many missed the XLR connectors on the H4. Now Samson has taken the best fromt he H4 and the H2, combining them in the the Samson Zoom H4n.

well done zoom.

i have the H4 for recording dj sets, which has been great (excepting the terrible clunky user interface), but have always wanted the option to record the ambient noise through the mics on seperate channels. here, at long last i can!

I just posted a tutorial on how to dump your projects and tracks from the Zoom H4N to the computer using the Audacity freeware program.

I hope it will be useful to many beginners and pro users.
