for the record its alot easier to add the effects in after effects, u can select where i should be and it will automaticly but it in the rest of the frame,

I used adobe after effects to bring the video into individual frames and then used adobe photoshop to rotoscope the saber effect onto each frame. I then returned it to a video file through aftereffects again.
