This is a coming of age short film made in 1968 by Dale Smallin. Smallin was also producer of what would become one of the worlds best known surf bands - The Surfaris. It was Dale who arranged to record the band's first single Wipe Out/Surfer Joe and release on his small independent label DFS Records. Dale continued to make short educational and industrial films into the 70's. This video was made off of an original 16mm print found in the archives of a local public school district. Attempts have been made to correct the color of the badly faded print as best possible.
