To end your confusion:
This projekt has nothing to do with the wellknown projekt Estampie from germany with Ernst Schwindel,
Michael Popp and Sigrid Hausen.
But its called Estampie too.

I have this album, its issed by Naxos records.
Cracking album, various artists. This was by English band Estampie, who I had the pleasure to see perform in some Yorkshire woodland around 1994.

I always was taught that the idea that Henry VIII was credited for this was somewhat misguided. It did , apparently, originate from his court, but that is about as far as it goes for the fat, rather nasty, old sod, and that is trying to avoid his sins (sorry, don't like religion but no other word will do) as a human!!
