Wild Foods with Becky: Wapato Harvest

The crew of TrackersNW heads out to Sauvie Island with Becky Lerner to help her forage for wapato in the cold, cold November water of the Columbia slough. They did the wapato shimmy to help release the roots from the muck. We later fried them up and chowed.

Great "trip" but, somehow, hi-tech wet-suits don't seem to really fit-in with a "primitive" and natural endeavor, such as wild foraging. I know, I know ... "Who says it's primitive?".
