pedrovilar - there is no justice. The radio jams our ears with mediocre sh*t and bands like this suffer the consequences of, hence we have to look harder than we should have to for music worthy of our ears. East Village and Birdie are those that I should never have missed first time around, just catching up and it turns out I'm too late. There's no justice.

@tuskedbeast Aye Dolly Mixture i remember Debsey and her mates doing backing vocals for the captain on happy talk think he alienated most of his die hard Damned fanbase {the stupid ones anyway} on that one you just had to laugh and this is brilliant too...check out East Village they furrow a similar pop vein

NO WAY! I was revisiting some old favorites (ahem, Papas Fritas), and this came up as a suggestion. I never thought I'd see a Birdie music video on here. THANK YOU! If you happen to have Sidewalk or One to Five, kindly post it, too :)

I really love this song! I even e-mailed one of the band members (Paul?) a few years back to tell him what a great band he was in. Are they still around, I wonder? I have the CD this song came from, and the other tracks are excellent as well.

this song is a g¡hidden gem, i love it. many thanks for posting the video.
at the time when this song came out, i heard on the radio a live version of this song, which was a little faster.
i wonder if this band has released any more albums since then...

They did release one more album - I have a copy of a CD called "Triple Echo" which was issued by It Records in 2001. I've no idea if they're still going, but I'd have thought not!
