Bananas Ripening with Reference Clock, Time-Lapse Animation

Bananas aging / ripening / browing. Watch the clock for reference.

Hoping for a perfect array of tiny spots that would grow into contiguous brown islands, I instead got to see where the bananas had been invisibly bruised.

As I can do with the original .MOV file, if you can speed up the movie (grab the marker icon & scrub it back and forth), the shrinking of the stems is actually more dramatic than any color changes. Small banana candies included as reference color; rubber ladybug magnet added to scare away squirrels.

Technical Details: Nikon Coolpix S7c set at 1 frame every 5 minutes, quartz lamp aimed at the ceiling, total duration of 6 days + 6 hours. The fluttering of the frame edge is because the camera must re-zoom for each frame (the camera turns itself off between images).
