Damn right I'm "living on the government dole" I earned it.
-
NOLA was not hit by a hurricane.
It was flooded because of failed river levees and corrupt politicians.
Yes, the folks living on the government dole are free loaders. The fact that they chose to stay instead of evacuate an area below sea level is a testament to their bad judgement.
Everyone feels bad for them but they knew that this was going to happen eventually.
Just like Californians know they are going to be wiped out by an earthquake.

so a week after storm was people in mississippi still dieing cause no one was trying to get to them. last I check after katrina past the waterdidn't stay in mississippi. it's sad you think people starving on national tv are a bunch of free loaders.
-
What about Mississippi?
It actually got hit by the hurricane where New Orleans was spared.
Yet all we hear about is the poor people of NOLA, boo hoo!
Where is our government money? boo hoo Where's my free house? boo hoo
What a bunch of free loaders!

Your a white person (cracker, honky, etc.) so why do you "feel" racial issues so "strongly"? i think it's just a way to make you feel better about yourself, to make yourself feel "progressive". you're being pretentious.
-
There are more black people in poverty, but is that a surprise given the high rates of illegitimacy?
-
How does the government 'help rich people?' Taxes, welfare statism, and controls on the economy all hurt the rich MORE than the poor. Your point about race and class is completely invalid as there exists no evidence that race has anything to do with one's competence. If you compare the amount of black people in poverty to the amount of white people in poverty in instances where BOTH parents are still around they are virtually the same.

no, nothin, the reason FEMA couldn't be there earlier and it was so bad, New Orleans is it's a soup bowl Dip Shit

dumbass question
Call me a "cracker, honky" (very immature by the way); but last I checked u don't have to be from Sudan 2 care about the ppl suffering in Darfur, nor black to care about human suffering. I am 100% confident in who I am & my convictions. However, maybe u should do some looking inward &see if maybe it's u w/ the insecurities. Usually, people that feel badly about themselves feel the need to put other people down. Try complimenting the fact that someone is doing something other than name-calling.

Right, that's the whole point. In this country, people have a hard time acknowledging that in many cases, (i.e. as is apparent via the population left behind in New Orleans), race and class go hand in hand.
