I use the printer with Macbook pro OS X. However, you need a PC to update the firmware. Just connect printer to a pc and download firmware update. Run firmware update software on the PC (It is PC software and won't run on a mac) Once firmware is udated you can use the printer with new firmware back on your Mac! Hope this helps.

What software are you using for the photo booth prints?

I have "6X4 Combo Print 2x6 2UP" but when I try to print with it - it says:
Starting job...
Firmware Error. Please update firmware to support the new media type.
I downloaded this driver from their site: HiTiRollTypeDriver_1.4.0.dmg
Any ideas? this sucks I dont want to use a pc...

I emailed the manufacturer, the firmware must be updated with a windows PC, as there is no mac support for the firmware update

PS - there is NO P510 series option for firmware - what firmware do you have? I dont see the 510s as a download option...
Maybe I need to get another model version?

@djjimmygtube - If you go to their "Download Drivers" page, the first dropdown has "Firmware (Windows)". Then you can choose "P510s" from the the second dropdown. If you're on a mac, I'd email them to see what options you have.

hello there I just purchased this printer but I can't figure out how to do this 2x6 doubles mode - can you help me out?
- any settings needed? - I am using a Macbook pro OS X

@djjimmygtube - Upgrade to the latest firmware & driver from hiti.com. That's key. Then in paper choose (it's like #6 or so) something lke "4x6 2-up (2x6)". Portrait. Try that out. It could be that OSX does not support it yet, but I'd hope they do.
