I love that I found this. This is MY history - raised when the 'Santa Barbara Seven' were doing their research and really searching. The community and church family that was formed is amazing and hard to find anywhere else. I'm so blessed to have been known and learned from this journey.

@Benita5258 25 years? And you still believe in this shit? Are you kidding me? If you read some other litterature than the bible maybe you would come to different conclusion - that god doesn't exist!

This sounds so familiar until I came home to Orthodoxy.

This confirms what I often feel about the Evangelical world, it is atomizing. People reach out to Christ in prayer w/ their "Sinner's prayer," & their rituals of the "alter call," & "receiving Christ as their personal savior." Then they are left w/o knowing what to do w/ this stirring of grace they feel in their hearts. In a certain sense the spirit of the Reformation & Protestantism is disintegrating. In another sense people are being lead to real Christian unity.
I searched for Christ all my life, starting Roman Catholic, 25 years in the non denominational evangelical churches, then on to anabaptism as following the tenets of the Mennonite Church. I started to listen to Ancient Faith Radio, and started to investigate the Orthodox Church. My eyes and heart have been opened, I love this church, the worship, the history , the TRUTH, The ORTHODOX CHURCH IS THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST AND THE FIRST CHURCH! Thanks be to God for this video of TRUTH,

@dwjones Before the year 1054, the Roman and the Eastern churches comprised the One True Church. It is our belief that Rome left the east to pursue her own theology and government. We also believe that the East has held onto the teachings of the 7 Ecumenical Councils and maintain the Ancient beliefs even up to today.
