The kit at the enxt web address has, I'd say, about 85-90% of the power of a 4S brushless system. But it's cheaper and still water proof.

what kind of speed should i expect with two 5000mah 7.2V packs. how much faster would adding a cell to each pack making them each 8.4V total make this system go. Is the original EVX able to withstand 16.8V with those motors

Expect the low 30's with 6 cell apcks and mid to high 30's with 7 cell packs. Yes, these particular motors were chosen to work well with the original EVX.

expect mid 30mph. And yes, adding an extra cell to each pack will make a big dfference. The original EVX will hand the 700 motors. However, i'm out of the 700 motors right now. Email me directly at dan @ kershawdesigns,com for alternatives.
