I Want To Be The Snow Bum at Sun Peaks Resort, Featuring Kim Hale

This entry for the 2009-10 "I Want To Be The Snow Bum at Sun Peaks Resort" contest features Kim Hale, life-long snow bum, Adaptive Ski Instructor, motivational talker, and all-around great guy. Kim, formerly of Aspen (Colorado), Whistler (British Columbia), and Squaw Valley (California), has just recently moved to his new home in Sun Peaks Resort in Beautiful British Columbia.

"I have discovered my destiny, and it is teaching and assisting people with disabilities through Adaptive Sports & Recreation", Kim tells everyone he meets. "As the official Snow Bum, I will have the opportunity to broadcast to the world the splendour and magnificence that is Sun Peaks Resort, nestled in the sunniest place in all Canada." Kim adds, "My new home is the perfect mix of mountain, year-round activities, location, and family friendliness. And I should know; I have lived in some great resort towns, and skied most of the rest..."

Kim hopes that by winning the Snow Bum at Sun Peaks contest, he will also be able to reach out to so many more people with disabilities and share with them the excitement and exhilaration of adaptive skiing. "As an Adaptive Ski Instructor, I function as a pair of glasses - that is, I just help you see the active, happy and healthy person that is inside everyone."
