This video is so inspiring to me. I was diagnosed with Asperger's last year and seeing how strong you are in this video, makes me believe that I have power in myself. Everyday I get made fun of for my disability, but my parents are strong and I never give up. You're son Jake will be extraordinary if you believe in him. I have learned to stay beautiful no matter what disability I may have. Good luck to you and your family, and Jake (:
I can completely relate to you. My brother that is 9 now, has Autism. Aspergers to be exact. I always was embarrassed by the rude comments and weird looks we got. And there was denial in our family, my parents divorced..and a lot more. If you ever need to talk. You can message me. God bless you xx (:
Wow, people find a way to dislike everything, don't they? Even when it's rare to find something this inspirational in the current state the world's in. All I can say is: Never give up. You and your family can do whatever's necessary to support your son and each other as long as you stick together. All the best to you and your family.
Autism effects everyone in my house hold, my brother has been suspended twice because the school don't know how to deal with his Autism, im 11 and I have a lot to deal with so dont give up and if you need any help message me. Your really brave. DON'T GIVE UP!!!
Thank you so much for making this video. I am in tears writing this. You fully expressed everything I have been through since my daughter was diagnosed. I wish more people could understand what its like. You are a beautiful person for writing and making this for all our children. I love how you also wrote about the struggle between wanting to help them as much as possible without making them feel like we don't love them exactly how they are! We just want the best for them! That hit home!
Thank you @californiaenglish1! Your encouragement means so much. I'm sorry for the struggles your brother has faced as a result of autism. I pray that people become more tolerant of our individual differences.
My brother has autism, luckily it's high functioning and he is quite smart and capable, but the worst thing we had to endure was people not understanding. Schools not giving a damn, kids picking on him for being different. For so long I just couldn't fathom why people were so stupid. I just want to scream to the world! Tell them: "can't you see he's different!" I wish your family the best of luck, and you will find a place where you are surrounded by people who love and care for you.
