@technatezin Well, TZM and PJ have a holistic approach and it's pretty obvious that you can't teach anything to a dog. Maybe your problem is genetics. TZM is a problem too, but since they don't accomplish nothing out of scratches it's only catastrophic in potential.

just started watching this...and i'm totally blown away by the sheer clarity and empirical logic of what Peter has to say from 18 to 22 minutes...absolutely amazing and wonderful

hey what yous think of the idea that in the transition period from capitalist to RBE that we have conscription for a certain age group say 18-20 who would assist in the implementation carrying out the laborious tasks required before we have technology to do the same?? i think it would be a noble task building a new peaceful world as opposed to what conscription is usually used for ie. war

@zmchi I have thought about this explanation before but it does not seem to be the "whole" answer. We have thousands of different cultures and almost every culture encourage procreate. I also found that the older your culture is the more encouragement there is. I come from a Chinese culture (Taiwan) where procreating is a MUST and this perception has been around for 5000 years. The main reason why our birthrate is low is because of financial pressure. If you remove that then there is the problem

@steamknife Even today, the more the developed the country is, the less children born to a family - if any at all. Think about it this way: more *education*, more access to birth control, more efficient use of land and other resources, people not needing to have babies just to feel loved, qualify for financial assistance or due to cultural pressure to have kids (would be taboo). Long term: building cities in the sea, and eventually terraforming other planets as humans live longer...

can a resource economy support 6.6 billion people? just saying i love some of the ideas but if this is to be implemented depopulation will need to occur :(

@Smiley4997 I agree, I barely have a life in this system we are in now, I am just working all the time for a job that I feel that is not contributing to a better future for humanity... if anything it is making this world worse the better I do because what I do directly results in mining of stone, cutting down trees for wood and other materials that is destroying this planet. Just depresses me that this will be my contribution to humanity in my life.

@RavenousSky No one knows how one might live in the system if you saw the zeitgeist panels it is up to us to have something we can live in.

continue to my last question... My concern is that RBE can only offer a short to mid term solution because till the end, human overpopulation is inevitable under this type of system.
I have this habit of determining pitfalls of theories and ideologies. While RBE sounds much better than the economic system we have right now, the more I evaluate the more I concluded that the problem is overpopulation despite the type of economic system.
Please, if I have missed anything about RBE, let me know.

I have a question that needs answer/s.
Let's assume that the RBE system has been perfectly implemented. Everyone has to access basics (shelter, food, medical care etc..). Ultimately increases average human lifespan. Even with the inequalities today, the world population is still increasing at a rapid rate. Thus, the world population will increase even more rapidly with RBE. The problem is since we only have X amount of resource, how can such limited resource cope with a likely population boom?
@dvzqz87 . "not even the zeitgeist movement has solutions"
Hm, are you kidding?
The solution IS a Resource-based economi. It was THEN, is is NOW. Simple as that. :)
Thats what the movement is fighting for, and thats what I fight for and thats what others are fighting for. Even Fresco understands that the Venus Project will not be copied right as it is... Even If the world decided to start creating a RBE-world, it would not be exactly after Fresco' drawings and examples... of course.

@dvzqz87. You, me, Fresco, Peter AND everyone else that supports this "new" way of thinking (RBE) is sitting in the same boat = which means we are fighting for the same goals... Arent we? So, why fight? :)
People who are against our way of thinking (they who want the monerary system to survive and supports this sick world/system we have today) are trying to tear us apart... Dont fall into their traps). Fight for a RBE -system, not against each other. Educate others about RBE instead!
