Any idea why one of these wouldn't fire, i have a 99 with no spark plug fire at all :/ and i really hope it isn't the stator cause it's $400 for a new one.

I've got a 1991 TW200 and that thing has been through hell and back. My brother, girlfriend, best friend, and myself all learned to ride on that thing. It's so low maintenance and easy to ride. I'll never get ride of it, no matter how slow it is. It's more fun driving a slow vehicle fast then a fast vehicle slow.

everybody rides a little different. dirt bike clutches are built solid. pul them in all you want or dont its a preference. on my 2 stroke i use the motor. on my 4 stroke i use the clutch. i dont even use the clutch to shift on the 2stroke. just revv it high then let off and shift right as you let off the throttle.

MSF are very narrow minded ones. There are WAYS to control it.

You didn't take much from the MSF course then. The clutch is how you control the motorcycle, not the throttle. Technical terrain is twice as easy if you are slipping the clutch instead of using the throttle as an on/off switch.

Nope... Right now I am riding a Roketa DB07 200cc dual sport (Chinese) Its been a decent bike for the money so far.
But I took my MSF class on a TW200. Also my friend has one. Very good bike, nice and light, and very capable too. If you have not taken the saftey class in your State, I would suggest you do so, even if you have been riding a long time.. I learned a lot.
Enjoy the TW..
The TW200 is a decent bike.. and for a beginner you are doing just fine. They call it "The Goat" for a reason.. it will climb anything. I would suggest you not use the clutch so much.. leave it in gear, 1st on that bike is really low with the stock gearing.. it should pull thru ANYTHING... try 2nd gear too... the thumpers (1cyl engines)will pull even at low revs. only pull in the clutch if you think you are going to stall it.

Thanks for the comment. I like the TW200. It's a pretty cool trail bike. You have one too?
