HP claims that you don't need the connectivity with the internet for the mouse to operate. That is true, but try logging into a wifi security settings operated through an internal login website and you're fucked. Mouse disconnects instantly. The forums of HP support are filled with posts from the ppl who we dumb enough to buy this piece of shit. Unfortunately I belong to that group of happy customers. It's probably my fault, why would I ever buy any of your products after fucking dv5 pavilion.

I have this mouse, and its save to say that you can use this mouse and still use your wifi for internet. But I recommend having a Windows 7 certified wifi adapter.

If you want to be sure that it works. You should use it with a HP laptop that comes with Windows 7. 6000 series should wok fine.

    I have a HP DV7-6151sd.

HP dv6 laptop - can't keep mouse working after sleep state/wifi-interruption. May not be HP's fault, but OS or NIC. I found that the hosted network is stopped and not restarted when back to an active state. The HP pairing software attempts to connect and sometimes does, but the mouse still won't work. So instead, I open a cmd session in admin mode and type:

    netsh wlan start hostednetwork

How to script so not to keep cmd opened on taskbar?

To view state: netsh wlan show hostednetwork

    Thanks.
