@EloiseDecember Me too, perhaps this is my favorite scene and also really liked how she was preparing for her speech and how embarrassed she was when talking to Alec.I saw half of Polanski and it was meh.....

i love this version ...hans matheson (perfect alec ).a very good actor........
-
I like the way she is rehearsing it all as she approaches the house. If this is anything to go by it looks like a very good remake. I was unimpressed by the Polanski version.

0:08 Oh.My. Living. God.

He looks like that yankee actor D. Defoe, but a sleazy english version
-
Now, how about some tea.

The 98 version was the best and closest to the book, this one also is excellent even if Gemma wasnt as good as Tess as Justine was, but still very fair.
The Polanski version was all wrong, its an English story with English, Wessex backgrounds and English charactors and the foreign element in that movie didnt capture the spirit for me in the story.

Shes so Pretty
-
She's got the sweetest, most beautiful face ever.

the 1998 version was the best, Polanski's version was beautiful, but a couple of casting errors in the men
-- the most recent version was just plain unnecessary, unneeded, unwanted, unloved and underwhelming
ALEC IS HOT.
