omg i thought the same thing when i first saw this video! i started riding nadia and tucker, and then moved up to shamus. he was, and still is, my favorite horse to ride. i had to move, so i changed stables, but i still miss riding him, and its been almost four years. its a weird coincidence that theres a strawberry roan of the same build, and with the same name.

nvm about my ps part.(didn't know it wasn't you riding lol) you should ask if she would take him to a low dressage show(or just do a week or 2 dressage training) i did that with my 5 year old tb, and ever since that, she has been doing way better with her courses!

You look great together! i used to lease a 5 year old clyde/tb with the same type of build.he was VERY forward!
ps- you look like you would make a great dressage team, have you ever tried it?

he has a great canter! (very comfy looking)
make sure you keep your hands low, theyre very high up

You horse is adorable!! His build reminds me of my mare a lot, although he looks a bit taller then Amber. You can really see the draft in both of them. =D

I purchased Shamus from a woman in NJ..he was boarded at a farm in Northern NJ...His name was Beau when I bought him...can't remember the name of the farm...I've had him for about two years...I don't know much more than that.

What a glorious looking horse. What breed is he as he looks quite heavy? I have a Clydesdale X I jump and she has the same type of build. LOL, he is very obliging and doesn't mind the whack on the butt he got before the jump!!!

He definitely took on more of his percheron gene...he used to need a smack on the butt to jump the rails...or he would be lazy and knock'em down. Thankfully he has gotten more careful these days, and only requires a smack once in a while. He has improved greatly..hopefully I will get a new video up soon.
