Tennis Topspin Forehand Groundstroke Footwork. What's your #1 question?

Foot work is so important for your tennis topspin forehand.

Quick decisive footwork allows you to create 'spacing' to the path of the incoming ball which gives you swing freedom.

The other great benefit of good footwork on your tennis topspin forehand groundstroke is you could approach the net if the opportunity presents itself.

What's your #1 question on footwork for your tennis topspin forehand? Let me know below in the Comments area. Thanks. Brent

  • hey brent, just wanna ask about how you swing the racket, do you use the weight of the racket, or you're gonna use the power of you're arm?

  • @howlingfenrir1 Watch the tip again. It's a lot about being able to move forward against the ball. Body weight ...

  • @Rams709 That's right. This clip was taken back in the Pleistocene (sp?) era.

  • Excellent and simple tip Brent! I tried it today and it was one of my missing links. The results were pretty much immediate (after a few minutes of adjusting). In my opinion the tip helps with balance, a strong foundation, and a readiness for the next shot.
