Christmas song themed cake

I decided to make a cake centered around some of my favorite Christmas songs and submit it to John Mayer's Interfaith baking contest. The main theme is "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus". The little kid is accompanied by a hippo and a donkey (yes I know it looks a bit like a mouse but it's a donkey) to represent "Dominic the Donkey" and "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas".
It's a red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. The filling will be in the shape of a heart when the cake is cut. I also used edible sparkles and fondant.
