Disaster Risk Reduction in Vietnam: Malteser International helps communities prepare

In Vietnam, one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world, Malteser International works with coastal villagers to prepare them for the frequent tropical storms which lead to floods almost every year. This video shows 170 residents of the village Truong Dinh performing a simulation of a storm and flood scenario, in which they learn how to implement the village's early warning system and evacuation procedures. The community drill was organised by Malteser International and financed with the generous support of the German Federal Foreign Office.
