This is an iPhone documentary filmed on January 14, 2012, at the annual Boy Scout "Trapper's Rendezvous" west of Newton, Kansas. This year the Trapper's Rendezvous broke past attendance records with over 5400 registered attendees. Organizers estimated an additional 1000 people from nearby communities also came to participate. The Rendezvous campout is a regional tradition drawing Boy Scout troops from around Kansas as well as some surrounding states, including Oklahoma. Boys trade a wide variety of items "swap-meet style," and also have opportunities to hear character actors tell the stories of different mountain men and explorers of the early 1800s in what would become the western United States.
