Kubuntu 9.04 Beta 1

This is Kubuntu 9.04 running under VMWare. Desktop effects are enabled trough XRender. As you can see its a lot faster then 8.10 because of Qt 4.5

- edit - For some reason I can't place replies so that's the reason why I haven't answered the questions. Here are the details for this setup:
- Plasma theme: Oxygen
- Widget theme: Bespin
- Icon theme: iKons download: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/803597/iKon_2.tar.gz
Wallpaper: I don't know where I got it from but it comes with OSX so it should be easy to find.
Taskbar: Staks from kde-look.org

I don't care about KDE or GNOME GUI.All i want is performance which both of them give.

I always hated vista but use it only because of dx 10 and a bigger operating area compared to lunix.

vista sucks!!!!

truth is any operating system runs well on a system built well..thats why i never buy computers from any store..i build my own..faster, better, and cheaper.

@Excizted During Release Vista had no proper driver support,pc games ran like shit,my Engineering assignments came to a complete standstill and there's a more lot of fucked up things about Vista.

I WAS ABOUT TO LOSE A ENTIRE YEAR DUE TO THIS COCKSUCKING OPERATING SYSTEM.

@yrady I'm wondering if you know what you're talking about. I'm not a fan of Windows overall but as a tech pro I've to say that Vista is quite good. There is some nasty default settings which eats up cheap laptops or grocery-store PC's. Any time I prefer to work with people's PC rather if they have Vista than XP. The latter is just so slow to interact with.

Vista haters are mostly unexperienced kids who heard from someone with a noob computer, that Vista sucks.

Yes i notice that. But over all it's almost nothing like windows cause of the way it's layed out
