A bent Yamaha PSS-270 demo

DIY! The filter and Xmod: Turn the board so the print is facing you. Locate the 330k resistor at the center right edge of board above IC7 And the 100k resistor above IC6.

@A- 330K resistor -@B

@C- 100K -

Wire @A, @B, & @C to a 100k pot. Use a SPST switch shorting pot legs A&B for the XMod.

Distortion! (this ones easier): Connect a 10k pot to both legs of the 12k resistor under IC 4.
(at the 220P CAP)

nice. looks like the trace cutting patch bay method ive seen on another site. with the sound much better actually. do you know if this will work on a pss-280? my hunch is it cannot, as the board might be a different variant. or if any cool bends can be attained on the 280 at all???

I don't have any specific info about the 280. But a quick search tells me it's also an FM synth, so it should be a candidate for the 'trace cutting patch bay method' too.
