The few days leading up to nle, we had alot of military activity out at Chandler Airport. I had 2 Chinnoks fly over my house, low it was shaking the windows Also had unmarked military helis coming and going. I have lived here 4 yrs and NEVER had military copters coming in. Now quiet, nothing, strange. There is an Armory over there too. I wonder if they were coming in for supplies? I am thinking about going to williams gateway to check it out over there and see if anything is up

Update 7/27/2009 PM: Around 7PM I saw a large aircraft fly into Luke AFB. It was either an equipment or personel carrier. It is not normal for this large plane to be flying in here

@OldSchoolAmerican Not normal for this type of large aircraft to land at Luke AFB? These types of planes land at Luke three, four, or more times a week. Air refuelers to support local training sorties, perhaps another base is TDY, a large C-5 Galaxy is typical on large payloads that my be unloaded/loaded to complete training missions.... many reasons why these aircraft can be a normal sight at Luke Air Force Base.

@JetWeasel I have lived directly under the landing pattern for aircraft going into Luke for over 10 years. At the time this video was made, this was the first large aircraft I had seen landing here besides ones that come in annually for the air show.

@OldSchoolAmerican Negative. In ten years you've seen one? Either you are not looking when they land, as I said it is a common sight for at least six years I can say. You say personal carrier or an equipment carrier, the inventory of large aircraft in the USAF is both, people fly with equpiment, equipment fly with people. Also, air shows are not annually at Luke, comes every other year. Why do you feel you have to update, 7/27/2009 of types of aircraft flying into a military base? Just curious

I have had lots of military and law enforcement helicopters and planes directly overhead, circling me, below faa guidlines; they are on our side.
