actually there is nothing wrong with Alabama now. There are two spectacular venues: The Spring Street Fire House in BIrmingham and Planet Avalon in Decatur. Both have great hardcore shows all of the time. and if people go crazy enough at shows, bands come back. Dead End Path had come to birmingham three times within the past year, as did stick together. you shouldn't give up on a scene. when cave 9 closed in bham, so many people just left the scene making it harder to book bands.
@ThePositiveOutlook It's mostly because of the lack of good venues in Alabama. In Florence, we had a venue for about 2 years that did pretty well. And we had Death Before Dishonor, Dead Hearts, Dagger Mouth, Bury Your Dead, Rhinoceros, xRepresentx, Thick as Blood, Recon, The Miles Between, Stray From the Path, The Red Baron, Bishop, and a lot more come through. Try to start a venue, get a good booking agent. If you book them, they'll come.
@ThePositiveOutlook ya man. im actualy in boston. and i shouldnt complain. there is an amazing scene. venues though... a lot stricter then they used to be. middle east for example. stage dive and ur gone.
