ive played every ape escape game and spike is in the 1st game the second game piposaru 2001 ape escape million monkeys and saru saru big mission. hes mentioned in ape escape 3 but i dont consider him really being in the game

I believe it is because Spike was the first guy, and Spector hates him most of all, it would seem to me that Jimmy and the other two would be more of a nuisence to Spector rather than a hated enemy like Spike.
That would be my guess.

Like people before, I don't really know. However I must admit I'm more for Spike. Thats only because I'm used to playing as him in the orignal. I myself used to really like spike because red spiky hair and awesome look :3
Oh, and spike doesnt have a shell on his arm. and Jimmy always wears a bandage on his nose wtf. plus I guess you could say spike is a bit more orignal and he doesnt have such a funny looking double jump. And spike did it no questions. Jimmy backtalked. My brown penny.

Overall, Spike is fuckin' awesome.
But Jimmy's voice actor is awesome.
