IronMan2 was shit, I really hope the studio doesn't fuck too much with Black on the third one

Hollywood always fucks your shit up. Oliver Stone said if you want control over your writing, do either stage plays or novels.

@LivingZombieJew The original script for Long Kiss Goodnight was much more deliberately paced and frankly, much better than the final theatrical product. There was massive studio interference with the production. I suspect it's one of the reasons Black dropped out for so long.
And I think he is absolutely right. I liked the first Bad Boys, but the rest of the Bruckheimer stuff is like a drunken, obnxious frat boy yelling in my ear for two hours. After awhile I just get bored and shut down.

@Sodacake I've seen it. It's not an action movie, but sthin' like criminal comedy, and it's really good I must admit. It doesn't change the thing that films full of climax moments can be good. I enjoyed "Armageddon", "Bad Boys", "Black Hawk Down" or "Deja Vu". Movies full of action can be really good. It's all a matter of skill.
Btw "Long Kiss Goodnight" is also kind of "climax movie"

Why doesn't he write scripts anymore? I wanna see movie written or directed by Shane Black, although I disagree with 90% of stuff he said in this film.

this is just further proof why shane black is awesome. here is a guy who has made more money in spec sales than anyone, at one point holding the record for biggest payday in history ($4 mil for "Long Kiss"), yet his practicality about the business resembles that of a hungry young writer who's never made a dime.
Iron Man 3 is well-deserved.
