Just a look at my one piece knives, I show two Chris Reeve models and one Schrade Extreme Survival model. The CRK's are a Shadow III and an Aviator, the Schrade is an SCHF1.

My left and right are backwards, i didn't notice that the phone flipped the image.

That's what all of the new literature and advertising says now, but when I bought this one it all said 1095 high carbon. A Schrade rep said 1095 back then so that's what I used as a reference. I'm not sure if they changed the steel when these started selling so well or if it is 1070 or 1095 now, I guess that it doesn't really matter since it's tough and holds a nice edge.

    Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching and for commenting.

It sounds like you've customized yours pretty well, I'll check your channel to see if you've done a vid on it, I'd like to see how it turned out. I thought about removing the Teflon and duracoatinng it to see how well the duracoat would hold up. Maybe I'd try some BBQ paint or some powder coat if it sucked, tiers endless possibilities :D

    Take care.

    Hi buddy,

The schrade is the best value for the money that ive bought in a long time, I really like that knife. For less than 1/4 of what I paid for the other two it's really well made.

    Thanks for watching, take care.

  • I think its actually 1070 high carbon steel.

  • sadlle discontinued !

  • they have many more designs in the schrade models now. i bought a clip point 5-6" one and it batons perfectly, although i use it mainly as a camp knife. i actually took off the teflon coating and wrapped the handle with thin/rambo style paracord. then coated the paracord with a nice clear epoxy enamel to keep it tight and waterproof. the metal handle alone just seems to relay too much shock by itself. however the cord gives it more shock resistence. and the mirrored blade is nice too on it.

  • Sweet blades man. That Schrade seems like a killer deal.

  • Great clip bro!!! Thanks!!
