Not all fans were sharp - Many who trained in the fan either took vows not to shed blood, like on palace grounds, or simply realized it wasn't practical to carry a bloody fan around, and not everyone had the option of throwing them away. You show some insight into movements, I'd like to send you an email about traditional use.

At the moment I'm trying to learn the fighting fan. Since we have kickstart (a karate program founded my Chuck Norris) in my school, belt ranks maybe be different. But I'm a blue belt learning from a red belt. Anyways, I have to learn for my demo team in which we preform when the belt ceremony arrives. I don't find it difficult, but it worries me. Your really good, hopefully I can achieve your level.

I'm the only one who uses these fans in my dojang, traditional fans have razor blades. My instructor said camas arnt "girly" enough. I made my own style.

It's hard to explain... I hold mine (when open) on the left side so when closed they are it lays against my arm. Makes it easier to snap, I had to teach myself sooo that's what worked.

online, mine are metal, not cheap, but they have bamboo ones or plastic ones. metal works the best.

Its my own style. I go to a Taekwon Do place and no one else uses them, I made my own style and went with it.
