  • Yeah but uh...when you save it, the empty parts of the layer that are checkered turn to white...how can you save it just with rounded edges?

  • @withoutREBELLION save it as a PNG image. PNGs can show transparency. JPEGs can't.

  • I selected it and Modify is not available? I have CS5.

  • If you want a transparent background, you should start with a layer with a transparent background. By the way, this IS a JPEG image, the most commonly found format. If you want to use the best possible image to work, use PNG or TIF (lossless compression,

    and no JPG artifacts)

  • Thanks SO much. U helped a lot. (:

    xoxo♥

  • Thank you

  • @withoutREBELLION Save as .png not .jpg

  • @goldenleafteam I will try that - I'm not sure if that's listed among the options to save on PS but I"ll check. I did fiddle with things in blogger and changed my background colors in the settings, and it leaves a very faint 'shadow' almost that only someone as completely anal as me would be able to detect. LOL Finally, a simple tutorial that doesn't require odd extraneous steps that do the same thing, only with 42 other steps. LOL

  • @DerangedHousewife Yes, it's not a PS problem but if you haven't already, try saving with "save for web and devices" and choose PNG-24. IF that doesn't work then it's most likely blogger. It must be converting it into a JPG, I would search the internet for other people having the same problem.... Hope it works out for you!

  • @DerangedHousewife Thank you man i think i managed to guess my way there :D but thank you none the less.

  • @goldenleafteam I did this and uploaded the image (PNG) to Photobucket. There, the image showed up with no background. When I put it on my blog (gray background) it showed up with a black background around the photo, not transparent. Confused even more now... Maybe it's something to do with blogger's settings and backgrounds and not PS.

  • @MrHaddify You have to unlock your background image. Drag the padlock symbol to the trash.
