Britain's next generation of aircraft carriers is taking shape. At more than 65 thousand tons each, the two Queen Elizabeth class vessels will be the Royal Navy's largest ever. Construction is already well underway in a number of shipyards around Britain.
@MrXray2011 not to forget the last QE class of warship was a very successful Battleship class including the prestigious Warpite :)

Completely agree! Has there ever been an HMS Nelson???

@ToonandBBfan QE is good, she destroyed the Spanish Armada (1588) and so it is only fitting to call a ship after her, although 3 would be nice then the other two could be HMS Ark Royal and HMS Hermes although I would like on to be HMS Horation Nelson.

@parcourkid They can't at the moment becuase the US have put the arrestor hook in the wrong place and so it cannot be caught properly.

@rahulpower Yes I agree but lets call them HMS Queen Elizabeth, Ark Royal and Hermes respectively! Maybe HMS QE2 in honor of our current Queen? Or would that remind people too much of poop deck paradise than nasty scary war.. ?

@MrXray2011 yay lets cripple our nation further by calling for 3 aircraft carriers hoozah!

@ToonandBBfan No... HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Ark Royal. In fact lets stop paying so much in foreign aid and benefits, buy another and call it HMS Queen Victoria.
MrXray2011 1 month ago
@parcourkid Yes, they can. The F-35 will be flown by the Royal Air Force and the Fleet Air Arm, they will all be fitted with Arrestor Wires so that both the RAF and FAA planes can fly off of the Queen Elizabeth Class!

@thethreelions3 The aircraft ordered by the Royal Navy as I've heard, can't even land on the Carriers...
