@dedes016 Yes it is. My husband and I took a trip down to Chalmette this past Labor Day. There is nothing left there now but overgrown bushes and weeds. It looks like a jungle over there. The houses used in The Colony are all gone now...nothing but vacant land there.
Sad, but still home right? u know the song that says " who says you cant go home" ? the sound of the machines in the background bring me back to a simpler time in my life :) thanks for the REAL look back at home
it bring back so much memories, i used to live there in a few of the apartment complex. One was behind a corner store aka the nickle pickle.

Yes, the building at the very begin of this video is the same building behind the building were the colonist stayed.

at 0:40 ,that's the same building, with those 4 windows triangled shaped at the top.

What a wasteland! I lived in a townhouse in village square as a kid from like 76 to 83 or so.
There was a time when it was a place for young people, families, working people.
Chalmette looks like a scene in a zombie movie.
