Tore Down - Greg Poulos, Dangerous Dan Toller, and Al Fuller

Sarasota blues legend Greg Poulos goes head to head with Dangerous Dan Toller from the Allman Brothers Band, as well as Bob Diehlman's scorching solo during the 11th anual "Giving Hunger The Blues" charity concert.

Sorry about the jumpy camerawork. I take guitar lessons from Greg (he's da man!) and couldn't help dancing a bit while filming. I mean really, could YOU'VE stayed still?

Thanks for posting this video. Greg is an outstanding guitarist, but he's a world class blues player, IMHO. I was there this spring and I remember wishing that session had been recorded.

If you are a Greg Poulos fan, look for his upcoming solo cd. He is due to head into the studio in May. If all goes according to plan, guest musicians will include Joey Lavallee, Dave Reinhardt, Rob McDowell, Shawn Brown, Damon Fowler, T.C. Carr, Jennifer Leigh, and Dangerous Dan Toler! Greg's awesome band The Venturas will also be featured on a few tunes. The cd will include about seven original tunes and be a genre jumping celebration of some of our areas finest musicians.

Greg's an amazing musician and I'm honored to know the guy. Really, how luck am I to take lessons from him!

Greg's solo cd is about two months from completion. It will have 7 original songs and 6 covers--various flavors of rock and blues. Dave Reinhardt and Rob McDowell are the rhythm section, and guest musicians include Dan Toler, Neil Larsen,Shawn Brown,Ally Couch, Damon Fowler,George Harris, T.C. Carr, Joey Lavallee,Jennifer Leigh, Greg Billings, Todd Plant,and Jimmy Griswold. We will keep you posted.
