He is the one singing at 0.45 sec, with the bass! To my knowledge, he never played guitar in hawkwind.

Some more useless information about Lemmy. Before he joined the hawks, he has has never played bass. Perhaps thats the reason he plays it like a guitar

Correct, he got in Hawkwind because the regular bassist didn't show up for three gigs but he left his bass in the van—"he was just begging me to still his job".
Lemmy did play guitar in Sam Gopal's Dream but "I was a horrible guitarist", he claims.
