Movie Reviews:
• ''A wity documentary. Incredibly amusing '' (Vox Magazine, USA)
• ''Amusingly foul-mouthed, a study in the art of the comedic argument'' (Slant Magazine, USA)
• ''Hula & Natan is a rarity. A buddy comedy set along the Gaza strip and one that finds the humor and humanity in everyday life'' (Soundonsight Magazine, USA)
• ''This truly tragicomic story, is joyful and spirited, in spite of their situation with in-coming fire. They get on with their lives employing a mixture of sullenness, despair, hope, joy, humour and genuine brotherly love for each other. For a few minutes, we focus on people and not the dangerous political situation that exists in the Southern part of Israel. This is a film not to be missed. '' (livinginnyon, Switzerland)_ • This particular film is a telling story not only of two brothers caught in the middle of war, but also of the absurdities that war entails. Overall, Hula and Natan is not simply a story about the irrationalities of war but also serves as a stark reminder that war as a matter of principle can only lead to one's own loss of principles (Political Bouillon, Montréal, Canada)_

* '' The award for best international medium-length film went to Hula and Natan by Robby Elmaliah:
Does anyone expect comedy when bombs are falling all around? That is what we get with Hula and Natan, a fine film that, against all expectations, presents the charming, funny portrait of two brothers, by turns mechanics and philosophers, who are getting by in Sderot, a village near Gaza. '' RIDM Montreal International Documentary Film Festival, Canada
* '' We now have the pleasure to give the prize of the jury of young audience, to the tragicomic picture made of a lively, original and colorful mise-en-scène of two engaging characters who convey a deep, human, social and political complexity of a Mid Eastern country to us. Please applaud Hula and Natan.'' VISIONS DU REEL International Documentary Film Festival, Nyon, Switzerland
