She is a singer...a complete singer, and a wonderful one as well!Difficult to pidgeonhole her, like it happens with the greatest singers of all time.Her range is just ridiculous...it goes all the way up to high E(and sometimes beyond). She is the real thing, the way a mezzo should sound, a powerful chest voice (and no fear of using it) and a wonderful head voice. Agile, flexible, colourful, expresive...when she sings it is as if a fireworks show had just began. :)

C'est clair que c'est une mezzo, une contre alto ne va pas jusqu'au si aigu, sauf en exercice peut-être.

Cette impression de "voix grave" est accentué par l’épaisseur de son timbre. Mais les aigus, elle les a!

@dacor31 I have noticed that many singers seem to be called mezzo when they could pass for contralto... but listen to her high notes... in my opinion it depends what they are singing... now with the low note quality many of them have, only a contralto can they be! but suppose they can play on it and be both! I find that my voice type changes according to style and pitch.. I was shocked to hear Pantcheva described as mezzo after seeing her as the witch in Verdi Ballo..

Wait, lemme take that back.... You go high and it's also powerful. Chances are you are a Dramatic Soprano. An equally dark timbre that covers the Mezzo and Contralto territory but tessitura is high in the Soprano range

Are you possibly a Contralto because when you sing the bottom register notes, you are using chest voice and it's really good.
