  • Hey there, Teresa. I was able to get a free pattern online & I would like to know what the abbreviation YO means. I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance & God bless you and your family.

  • @sachaoh When you come across the abbreviation, YO, it means to yarn over. When you hear me say to put the yarn over your hook, YO is the same thing in written, crochet abbreviation terms.

  • Teresa I have to thank you from saving me from certain crochet failure. I have tried many times to learn crochet & always found it very frustrating & difficult for one reason or another. With your tutorials I am able to go at my own pace. I had learned this stitch incorrectly and was having a terrible time with my current project. So I turned to you today - discovered a small handful of things I was not doing right and now I am flying through my current project & enjoying it!!! Thank you :D

  • @sparkleyjen I wish you much continued success with crochet!

  • Greetings,

I am new to the art of crocheting and would like to know if you can recommend the best stich/pattern to do an aphgan. I would probably use a varigated yard, don't want to get into adding color yet. Thought about just doing a bunch of squares but worried about how they are put together and how it looks. Thanks so much for your help.

  • @KissHope I will send you a playlist with a variety of pattern stitches.

  • Is my work supposed to be half as long now? -.-

  • I appreciate the comment,thank you.

  • @foreverdreamer2012 It may be your tension in wrapping the yarn a bit to tight around your hook. Keep practicing and you will get the hang of it.

  • whenever i have to pull the string through all three the hook gets caught and i end up with two loops on my crochet hook..i'm trying to ease up on the tension as much as possible but i must be doing something wrong
