I heard him playing this same concert in Mexico last November, and let me tell you, he drove everyone crazy, his energy is unique, there are many many excellent pianist who have recorded this concert e.g. Arrau, Barenboim, Ashkenazi, Pollini, how many more do you want? Say's energy is outstanding and you can place him between all those great ones... with no doubt

I love Fazil Say, I really do. You can virtually see the emotions and feeling stream from the piano when he plays.
And yet... this recording could be that much better if he actually played 'with' the orchestra rather than playing his own thing and dragging the orchestra along.
Especially during the first movement he's totally out of touch with it.
Otherwise awesome.

People stop trying to find flaws ! Try to play like that first , make this sound , and then we an talk . besides , Say is one of the best chamber musicians , I know i´ve heard live , so I dont agree .
