nitro go kart

its running on 95% nitro methane. it was awesome

on one of the start ups it almost put a rod threw the block but we shut it off just in time :)

you have to richen the mix a ton because nitro burns less oxygen l. this is why it makes more power. it takes less air in the mix to make the same power so you can have a small engine produce tons of power.

i started it on methanol. i had two tanks set up on one carb so when the motor got hot enough i slowly switched over to the nitro and the starting tank has 15% nitro to help it warm up faster. then before started the motor i drilled out the jet so it would run good on it and not make the motor to lean. A full tank of fuel lasted me 3 minutes. it was really fun to do it. and after every start up i tore the engine down to check the rod and bearing and crank and all that good stuff

Do you start it on gas, then switch over to the Fuel, and how do you have the fuel feed setup?

Gravity? one feed for Fuel and the other for Gas ?
