yeah your right, Foreman used sluggish, sledgehammer like shots, and were ill-prepared (at the last minute). Joe Louis' blows were timed, and accurate, he knew where to punch. So yeah I think that Joe hit harder than george because if you can plan your attack and make it accurate, you've just thrown your hardest punch

Foreman hit hard and was very strong but if you can define the difference between strength and power then you will see they punched very differantly. Joe louis was 198lbs at his best and Foreman probably outweighed him by 42lbs-56lbs so was much bigger. P4P Louis hit harder than Foreman and punched with ripping fast power, compared to Foremans cumbersome weighted shots, the speed is where the power is and Foreman wasnt very fast..

Joe is a totally devestating puncher, he does it without looking like he is really trying, so natural, just shifts his body weight perfectly.

When Joe Louis asked Lena Horne, with whom he was then having a relationship, to keep score for him at a Hollywood golf benefit, the singer refused -- she was entertaining troops that day. Joe hit her with a left hook. Then he started to choke her. In his 1978 autobiography, written with Edna and Art Rust Jr., Louis said that the only thing that saved Lena's life was an aunt in the next room who threatened to call the police

Hell yes... wish he had a more painful death than a bullet to the brain.
