  • @feetchermancj Thanks...yeah, I didn't realize that there were so many Amplifier companies that engage in false advertising and deceptive practices regarding their stated wattage--well on Amazon.com anyway---and I thought that I had Fried my brand-new amplifier when come to find out, I did not. I guess you get what you pay for.

  • @sofearnot just make sure its not a constant 12volt.

  • Thanks dude, thats helped me a fair bit. now to decide on the speakers im going to use :P. I have the same kind of boot setup as you atm.

  • d16 engine??

  • @kingbansal187: Yes you can. This port actually works just like the modern remote connection. Did you switched on the radio, the wire is energized. Did you switched off the radio, the voltage drops.

But check first if +12 V is switched. Indeed, there are also radios, where the ground is switched. You need a relay, if the ground is switched.

  • can I connect the remote wire to the power antenna wire because my after market deck doesn't have a blue wire with a white stripe.

  • gold top civic... NICE

  • Anyone, please answer. Would hooking up the +12v wire to "Remote" on the Amplifier harm the amplifier? I realize it only requires a small amount... but would it actually do any damage to the Amplifier to have the 12 volts present there?
