Ward Churchill refuses free speech debate

John Docker, volunteer for Walking Eagle Productions, offers Ward Churchill a public debate and interview with Producer Grant Crowell. Ward Churchill renegs on earlier promise to a public debate on free speech, claiming that Crowell is a Nazi and he won't debate anyone he calls a Nazi.

I'm going to break the prime internet rule of never arguing with a troll - with the intent of maybe educating other people who read this thread.

Churchill has said some correct things. Those things don't include his central thesis. Is this so hard to grasp?

He is an asshole for the reasons I've said repeatedly; he pretends to be a native for his own benefit and declares anyone who calls him on it to be a fascist (kind of like what you're doing).

@cbarsonfire That justified the firing of Ward Churchill. It was only after he referred to the victims on 9-11 as ''little Eichman's that they pursued his firing. His writings and opinions have been around for ages and no action was taken. A lot of people have called for the firing of Ward Churchill for misrepresenting himself as an Indigenous person for years and no action was taken. Why? Because he brought recognition to Bolder U. I agree Ward is a douchebag. The real issue is freedom ofspeech

I thought he was fired for being found guilty of repeated, intentional academic misconduct, the University of Colorado Board of Regents voted 8-1 to fire him.

Churchill himself raised the free speech issue.

The guy is still a douchebag big mouth prick. He is often rude to anyone who questions him.

@cbarsonfire Why? It was all a ruse. It lets the university and the United States off the hook for failing to allow and defend the right to free speech. Big deal Ward won 1 buck but he lost his career and reputation, and deservingly so in my opinion. This entire fiasco just proved that there really isn't ''free-speech'' in America without sufffering the consequences from the masters or elites who don't agree with you.

It amuses me how insulted and angry water carriers get when confronted by a polite and well spoken militant like Ward Churchill who refuses to fall into their traps. Face it water carriers, he's 10 times smarter than you and a better American. And he won't back down.
