And it was a severe one too. I wasn't conscious again for at least a day or two. I don't remember the first week and half but seeing the way I acted during then it was like I was sleep walking and never completely awake. Partly cause of what I said when asked a question. Then a couple months later when I was better I was asked the same question and I was actually sleep walking, sitting up in bed, and gave the same answer

I must be the only one here who feels thankful for it. Coming back to my life I felt so thankful and happy for everything. I didn't do anything special yet it is one of the happiest memories of my life, and for no specific reason either, just my mood. It felt like part of my ego died and I was just there for the experience of life. And this was only 3 months ago. Part of it could be because it happened while my mind was lost on LSD and the police didn't know how to stop me and gave me the tbi.

I think it's possible for his old personality to return. My personality changed a great deal after my TBI, but I was able to return to the "old me" personality. But than again I am fairly young so maybe my brain healed faster...I don't know. But I really hope he does come back to his old self!

Thanks for posting this! I had a severe TBI last summer and didn't know anything about my condition. I am just SO happy to be alive and after watching this, I am real thankful to be as functional as I am!

My dad had a car accident april of 2011. He has a traumatic brain injury an has a different personality. Im only 17 and I need my dad back.. Please help?
