yea but the chef dint put heavy cream in his, i find that it dosnt need it the pie came out to watery

I've never had a sugar pie with nuts in it. O.O!
Pity this lady's not a very good host. He was great, she seemed bored, which is a shame 'cause Sugar Pie is divine!
Heated with a touch of whipped cream or ice cream. OMG!

and besides the pie is a MAPLE syrup pie so then it makes sense to put maple leafs on top

-Pastry dough for an 8 inch pie
-3 large eggs at room temperature
-1 1/2 tablespoons of vanilla
-1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
-3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
-1 cup pure dark amber maple syrup
-1 cup heavy cream
Oven at 300°F for 45 minutes.
