  • I agree, the grid is simply a definition that refers to land lines that connect electric to homes. When one lives off the grid they are simply referring to the absence of this connection. This is simply decentralized power. However, many have chosen to believe off grid refers to crazy people hiding from the GOV.

  • Glenn Beck has no clue.

  • For a Momon, Glenn is pretty freaking condescending and ignorant on the subject.

  • I'm off grid as far as water, gas and electricity. Our municipality only provides volunteer fire dept. road maintenance and landfill. I use satellite for internet and phone, both necessary for business purposes. Our purpose was and is to live comfortably without any reliance on "public" utilities.

  • @m1up Glenn Beck is like Stephen Colbert except that while he knows that it is all a show he makes his living by convincing others that it is not by mixing truths, personal opinions and experiences along with events from his life in order to entertain and enlighten his viewers. I am a fan of his and I must say that he attracts a crowd of people who tend to follow rather than lead and as such they listen to him for direction which defeats the purpose of the self empowerment gospel he preaches.

  • @ghostmanriding As a Glenn Beck superfan I can tell you that he isn't a manipulative A-hole. People who believe everything that comes from his mouth are sheep and deserve any form of suffering that may come from behaving like cattle. He is however a brilliant business man who has managed to make several million dollars by simply talking to people and being so engaging that you want to hear more of whatever it is he has to say at that particular moment.

  • @m1up

Your comment was rude...wait, that must make you "batshit insane" too according to your own statement... hmm, it appears you and Beck may have more in common than you would ever admit.

Just so you know, I don't watch shows like Beck to get entertained...I go and make comments online to mess with people like you. Very entertaining

I accept others opinions very widely. I do not accept rudeness and obvious bullshitting. Honestly, who watches Glen Beck (or watched) and actually believes his bullshit? If you do, you obviously are obviously batshit insane as well. Glen Becks show is not to be taken seriously in any matter and is, in fact a comedy program in which both Americans and people from around the world alike, watch to get a good old ha haha ha out of it. It works as well.

  • @ikambor

sounds like beck thinks it means being separated from all "traceable" technology. you think it means electricity only, arm wrestle for who's right?

  • @m1up

the guy is successful and extremely opinionated, what's so sociopathic about that? why do you feel so threatened by him? why are you even listening to him if you hate him so much anyway? i don't understand people like you
