This is my brand new acoustic-electric soprano guitar from Rob Collins at www.tinguitar.com
Also referred to as an octave guitar or piccolo guitar, it plays one octave above a regular guitar. The sound is somewhere in between banjo and mandolin and guitar. This is because, although the chord voicings are very much guitar voicings, the high range is much more in Mandolin territory. The banjo-ness comes from the fact that it produces sound in the way a banjo does, by vibrating a solid membrane without a soundhole. I will definitely be ordering from Rob again, and I urge you all to do the same.
The song is a hastily played rendition of the Mr. Belvedere theme song. The picking noise is not nearly as bad in real life, it's just the shitty built-in microphone.
Maybe a bit more practice on higher pitches would be required, but anyway I'm suprised how nice this song sound.
Good singing!
