Guniea Pigs caught chatting to each other across room

Our Guinies, Albert and his wife Marmite caught chatting with each other from cage to cage. Marmite has just had babies so they are in separate cages for the next few weeks. After walking past the cellar door I heard loud squeaking so i crept down to see what all the commotion was about only to find Marmite and the 3 babies chatting to Albert across the room. They proceeded to stop as soon as they realised i was there, then acted like they weren't up to anything.... as if to say "Animals don't talk to each other.... Where did you get that idea from"
