  • 'Well there's a lot of irrational people out there'

    'I can't help that'

    GOLD.

  • Sebastian shows Chomsky to be a world-class debater, who is utterly convincing. I don't mind Sebastian using with this approach (which is obviously childish and shows no knowledge of the facts), because he represents widely-held erroneous views, which Chomsky dispels with complete ease.

  • God, not this 'moral equivalence' argument again. The term's only ever used to excuse blatant hypocrisy, and was invented to do so.

  • Why do we have such nonsense interviews with Chomsky on TV all the time? Just quoting stuff from his books that seems to be unconvential and asking questions that have no point or can't help anything.

    sigh

  • hehe, he sort of sounds like a religious nut when he starts going on about the gospels!

  • World class debater indeed, just look at Sebastian's expression when Chomsky puts a killer point or question to him.

  • @phooey108 Very true. It is sad when the majority of westerners think interviews are about one guy "owning" the other. These people wouldn't know journalism if it was fifteen feet tall and relentlessly kicking them in the testicles.

  • jeeesus, chomsky ate this guy and spat him out

  • 3.10 "That's just a total non-sequitur." Total slap-down.

  • So we get to act with impunity in ignoring international law? Whose logic is demented again?

  • Chomsky always brings down his interviewers when confronted because he is usually much more knowledgeable. He should be there when politicians make statements or have debates with each other to take out the bullshit lol.

  • Even the U.S. government is making distinction between Al Qaeda and the Taliban:

"There has to be ultimately, and I'll underscore ultimately, reconciliation as part of a political outcome to this,That's ultimate the exit

strategy for all of us,"-Robert Gates

"Gates said reconciliation efforts could not include anyone belonging to al Qaeda, the group that has claimed responsibility for the September 11, 2001."

    Any more blatant falsehoods?
